The Imperial Prison Transport (IPT) functioned as a prisoner transport, specifically a modified version of the Imperial Troop Transport, designed to move prisoners to facilities like the Narkina 5 Imperial Prison Complex. This reworked IPT removed the amenities found in the standard transport and incorporated new restraints; the prisoner compartment was situated on the right-hand (starboard) side. Furthermore, the IPT maintained only essential life support capabilities, and the cockpit was physically isolated from the area housing the prisoners. Three IPTs were in the process of loading prisoners for transport to various destinations. Andor was loaded onto one of these IPTs, which subsequently carried him, along with other prisoners, to the Narkina 5 Imperial Prison Complex.
