Infidel was the term the Yuuzhan Vong used to describe anyone who utilized technology or lacked belief in their deities. At best, infidels were regarded with contempt, but violence was a more typical response. The Yuuzhan Vong harbored a profound fear and loathing for all forms of artificial technology, including droids. The Yuuzhan Vong would destroy any non-natural technology if they could. Notably, machines that generated fire seemed to be viewed with exceptional hostility. This aversion was so deeply embedded in the Yuuzhan Vong culture that Vua Rapuung assaulted Anakin Solo, despite having worked to form an alliance with him, after Solo employed a grenade to ignite a blaze. Individuals labeled as infidels had the option of undergoing ritualistic cleansing via the Purification process.
