Yun'o

Yun'o, referred to individually as Yun, or the True Gods, and also called Great Ones, was the term used by the Yuuzhan Vong to describe their deities. The prefix Yun- was attached to the name of each god in the Yuuzhan Vong pantheon. Their physical forms, as represented in art, varied depending on the specific domain. It was believed that these gods inhabited a plane of existence that ran parallel to the physical world and that they possessed corporeal forms.

Legends state that, during the Before-Time, Yun-Yuuzhan, the original creator, made a promise to the lesser deities. He said they could achieve his status if they identified beings capable of replacing them. The Yuuzhan Vong interpreted this to mean finding a species like themselves, which they used to justify their drive for escalation.
