The internal systems probe droid was a type of probe droid crafted by Arakyd Industries. These droids, with a height of only seven centimeters, utilized repulsorlift technology to move around the ventilation shafts of the Galactic Empire's initial Death Star battle station, serving as a defense against unauthorized personnel and relaying any strange occurrences.
These security probes, designed to counter espionage activities, were equipped to take out advanced infiltrators, especially those involved in espionage, by using strong blaster shots from integrated ports. However, they would not engage targets that weren't explicitly programmed into their elimination protocols. As an illustration, internal systems probe droids were unable to eliminate rodents. Data gathered by their sensors was sent back to the computers they were connected to, where technicians analyzed the information and determined the cause of the scan.
