The Invincible-class Dreadnought Heavy Cruiser, also known as the Invincible-class Heavy Cruiser or the Invincible-class Dreadnaught, represented a warship design that saw extensive service across multiple centuries within various galactic naval organizations throughout the galaxy.
The Invincible-class warships possessed a cylindrical form and measured 2,011 meters in length. The version utilized by the Corporate Sector Authority naval forces was equipped with a weapons array that included six concussion missile launchers, a dozen turbolaser batteries, thirty quad laser cannons, and six tractor beam emitters.

The design of the Invincible-class dreadnought drew inspiration from the enormous battlecruisers employed by the forces of Xim the Despot and the massive battle cruisers of the Alsakan. These dreadnoughts were constructed by Rendili StarDrive together with Vaufthau Shipyards, Ltd. around 3017 BBY, during the Seventeenth Alsakan Conflict that pitted Coruscant against Alsakan. They ranked among the largest capital ships in the Republic's arsenal during that period.
Not long after their creation, advancements in weaponry made these large capital ships, such as the Invincible-class, particularly susceptible to attacks from smaller, faster vessels. For a considerable period, military dominance shifted towards smaller warships, measuring only a few hundred meters. Despite this, the Galactic Republic utilized this class to some extent, and the Corporate Sector Authority later acquired a number of these ships as surplus from the Empire, deploying them as picket vessels. Experts recruited from system defense fleets that still operated these and other obsolete vessels were employed to train crews in the operation of the Invincible-class, as well as to implement minor upgrades to the ship's systems.
In spite of their considerable size and large crew requirements, their use was mainly relegated to operations against pirates and smugglers. However, they were inexpensive to obtain and straightforward to operate, while offering both atmospheric flight and a relatively large capacity for deploying ground troops.
During the [Reconquest of the Rim], Admiral Wullf Yularen included these dreadnoughts within his fleet.
