This star, quite small and not particularly noteworthy, resided within the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. Prior to the conclusion of the Manderon Period, a species from beyond selected this star and its system as the site for the execution of Project Iokath. Every celestial object within the system, even the smallest asteroids, were destroyed and their materials reclaimed to construct an immense, self-sufficient ecosphere. This ecosphere completely surrounded the star, harnessing its entire energy production. This enormous habitat was given the name Iokath, and due to the fact that, once finished, no light could escape from the star, the entire system became impossible to detect from anywhere else in the galaxy.
