Isiring

The world of Isiring, situated in the Cassander sector, was an Outer Rim Territories locale. A mining planet abundant with ore, Isiring became a component of the Cassandran Worlds, a territory established by Cassander Tadrin, a former businessman, during the era of the Galactic Republic. Later, when the Galactic Empire fragmented the domain into subsectors, Isiring was designated the capital of the Tendrannan sector. Subsequently, this world existed within both the Pentastar Alignment and the Imperial Remnant.

Description

Within the Isiring system, Isiring was a mining world rich with ore. It formed part of the star cluster that evolved into the Tendrannan sector, itself a subsector belonging to the larger Cassander sector found in the New Territories section of the Outer Rim Territories. Isiring's location on the Braxant Run hyperlane provided connections to both the New Bakstre system and the Vuchelle system within the Atrivis sector.

History

Cassander Tadrin, previously a businessman, spearheaded the colonization effort a century prior to the disestablishment of the Galactic Republic in 19 BBY. This led to the creation of the region later recognized as the Cassandran Worlds. Over the following decades, this territory expanded to encompass over one hundred worlds, Isiring among them.

Not long before the Battle of Yavin, the Galactic Empire assumed control of the Cassandran Worlds. The Empire then reorganized the region into three subsectors, one being the Tendrannan sector, with Isiring serving as its designated capital. Isiring found itself within the boundaries of the Pentastar Alignment between 4 ABY and 12 ABY. From 12 ABY to 13 ABY, it was part of the Imperial Remnant.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of Isiring occurred in the 2004 sourcebook, Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds, published by Wizards of the Coast. The 2009 reference work, The Essential Atlas, specified the location of the Isiring system, and consequently Isiring itself, as grid square L-5.
