The IT-000 interrogator droid represented a new and improved version of the interrogator droid utilized by the First Order. Deriving from compromised medical droid technology, it was reminiscent of a previous iteration employed by the Galactic Empire, and its creation defied the anti-torture legislation put in place by the New Republic. One particular IT-000 unit, identified as IT-000-XZ 1594, was deployed by Kylo Ren at the start of his questioning of the enemy pilot Poe Dameron while aboard a ship above the planet Jakku.
