The Twi'lek farmer Jac Lodain's paternal aunt was a female who joined Lodain's father in opposing the Galactic Empire. While his father suffered the loss of an arm, his aunt died. Lodain's parents eventually made their home on the Outer Rim planet of Batuu, where they raised him. In 34 ABY, the smuggler Izal Garsea visited Batuu, and Lodain shared his family's past, including the passing of his aunt. The farmer expressed his desire to fight valiantly for a cause, just as his father and aunt had done, but Garsea urged him to prioritize the safety of his family.
