Jalta, a Human male hailing from Corellia, held a position on the Corellian Council. This was during the era of the Cold War that transpired between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire. Ultimately, he met his execution at the hands of the Sith due to his staunch refusal to pledge allegiance to the Empire.
Being a member of the council, Jalta possessed courage and recognized the wickedness of the Sith. He remained firm in his resolve to never permit himself or his fellow Corellians to be subservient to them.
Jalta makes an appearance as a character within the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, specifically within the Empire storyline on Corellia.
In the event that Darbin Sull's life is spared, Jalta will vehemently reject Sull's urging of his fellow council members to submit to their new Imperial overlords, branding Sull as nothing more than an Imperial pawn. The player(s) then have the option to either execute Jalta or allow him to live.
Conversely, should Sull be executed, Jalta will audaciously launch an assault upon the player character(s), only to be subdued. As described previously, the player(s) can then choose to either spare his life or execute him.
