This institution of learning, situated on the world known as Obroa-skai, served as a training ground for the Jedi Order throughout the era of the Galactic Republic. Its eventual fate was destruction at the hands of the Galactic Empire.
Established before the Ruusan Reformation took place, this academy functioned as an auxiliary school for Jedi Initiates belonging to the Jedi Order, and it was constructed on the planet of Obroa-skai. Crix Sunburris, a renowned Jedi ace, referenced the academy in his instructional Jedi text, The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, pointing out its specialization in the areas of data collection and analysis. Over time, the academy played a role in establishing the planet's reputation as a repository of all galactic knowledge, accumulated within the computer systems of Obroa-skai's informational archives. A significant number of Jedi Consulars were often stationed at this particular academy.
According to the notes made by Darth Sidious in his illegally obtained copy of The Jedi Path, the Obroa-skai academy was among the many facilities that he personally ordered to be obliterated during the Great Jedi Purge. He commented that the book itself revealed the academy's supposedly concealed location, thereby saving the Galactic Empire valuable time in their pursuit of the Jedi. The academy also housed an extensive collection of Jedi artifacts, which resulted in a small light side vergence.
