Jedi task force

A Jedi strike team journeyed to Galidraan in 44 BBY with the purpose of stopping the Mandalorian army. They successfully ambushed the True Mandalorians, leading to their defeat, and Jango Fett, their commander, was taken into custody.

History

The Governor of Galidraan provided false information to the Jedi Council, claiming that Mandalorian warriors were engaged in the murder of "political activists." In response, a Jedi strike team, consisting of twenty Jedi, was dispatched to Galidraan, a snow-covered planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. The Jedi who composed this team were selected primarily based on their geographical proximity to Galidraan and their ability to arrive quickly, resulting in their hasty recall from their assigned duties. Dooku initially considered requesting additional Jedi reinforcements from the Council, but ultimately decided against this action due to the time constraints imposed by hyperspace travel and the pressing need to rescue civilians reportedly "dying." The strike team was transported to the planet aboard five Consular-class cruisers, including the Acceptance and the Radiant VII, with the mission to put an end to the Mandalorians' activities. Jedi Master Dooku, the leader of the group, and his Padawan, Komari Vosa, traveled on the Acceptance. Upon arrival, the Jedi immediately issued an order for the Mandalorians, under the leadership of Jango Fett, to surrender, but Fett refused to comply.

A fierce battle ensued, resulting in the deaths of eleven members of the Jedi strike team, as well as the deaths of all Mandalorians, save for their leader. The remaining Jedi then captured the Mandalorian leader.
