The Jedi temple, situated on the moon of Alaris Prime, saw its construction between the years of 39 BBY and 36 BBY. This construction occurred within the confines of a camp overseen by the Wookiee leader, Chewbacca. This temple served as a secure location for a Jedi holocron discovered on Alaris Prime, after its retrieval by the Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The Jedi temple located on the moon of Alaris Prime was built by Wookiee laborers within a camp managed by Chewbacca, the head of the Wookiee colonists. Constructed from carbon and nova crystals, the temple was strategically positioned within the operational range of a power core to ensure efficient functionality. Its design featured a square foundation, with a column at each corner and a central tower, echoing the architectural style of other Jedi temples. The Alaris Prime temple was gray in color, adorned with orange stripes on the upper portion of the tower and around the middle of each column.

The Jedi temple's construction spanned the period between 39 BBY and 36 BBY, during the war that determined the colonization of Alaris Prime. This conflict was between the Wookiee colonists, who had a rightful claim, and the Trade Federation. The impetus for building the temple arose from the discovery of a Jedi holocron within a camp belonging to Shoran, an ally of Chewbacca. Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, serving the Wookiees as an advisor on behalf of the Jedi Order, secured authorization from the Jedi High Council to erect the temple. This temple would serve as a secure repository for the holocron. Following its completion, Jinn dispatched his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Alaris Prime with the mission of retrieving the holocron and safeguarding it within the temple, as only a Force-sensitive individual could handle it. Once inside the temple, the holocron generated a continuous supply of nova crystals for Chewbacca's use.
The Alaris Prime Jedi temple was initially referenced in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide by Steven L. Kent, which was released on November 7, 2001. Subsequently, it appeared in the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, launched on November 11, 2001. It featured in the sixth level of the Wookiee tutorial campaign, "Allies and Jedi," where players could learn to construct Jedi temples and utilize them for creating Padawans and collecting holocrons. The temple's construction required 180 units of carbon and twenty-five nova crystals. The player received instructions to create a generic Padawan unit at the temple, whom Jinn then introduced as Kenobi. If the player possessed sufficient resources, they could create additional Padawans and build more temples.
