John Beyer is responsible for authoring various sourcebooks related to roleplaying games, notably Shadows of the Empire Planets Guide, Heroes & Rogues, and also _Operation: Elrood_. Furthermore, in collaboration with Wayne Humfleet, he co-authored a pair of short stories, specifically "Swoop Gangs" and "Lumrunners", which were published in the Star Wars Adventure Journal.
