John Byrne


John Byrne, a comic book artist responsible for a cover in Marvel's Star Wars comic series, was born on June 6, 1950.

His professional career began in 1975 at Charlton Comics, but he quickly secured consistent projects with Marvel Comics. In 1977, he started drawing Uncanny X-Men, which became a massive hit for Marvel. Other significant contributions include both writing and illustrating Fantastic Four, as well as reimagining DC Comics' main comic, Superman, in the 1980s. During the 1990s, Byrne moved to Dark Horse Comics to create his personally owned series, Next Men.
