The heads of the different divisions within the Galactic Alliance's defense forces were known as the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Among them were the Chief of Army Operations, the Chief of Naval Operations, and also the Chief of Starfighter Command. The presiding officer of the joint chiefs was the Supreme Commander.
