Jude Rozess

Recognized as Force-sensitive in her early years, Jude Rozess was brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, where she commenced her training to master the Force and embrace the light side. Upon successful completion of the Temple academy, Rozess was chosen to be a Padawan by a Jedi Master from within the Order. After nearly ten years of individualized instruction and the construction of her own green lightsaber, Rozess successfully completed her Trials of Knighthood and was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight.

Rozess, opting for the path of the Jedi Guardian, centered her personal studies on becoming a Peacekeeper, with particular focus on working with the Temple Security Force. In 33 BBY, Rozess was assigned to guard the entrance to the High Council Tower located within the Jedi Temple when a Yinchorri group attacked the Temple. Despite bravely defending her post after being caught off guard by the sudden assault, Rozess was overwhelmed by the sheer number of her adversaries and was killed by a Yinchorri commando. As she was dying, her murderer boasted about her being his first kill, but she managed to fatally wound him with her lightsaber in what would be the only time she took a life.

Rozess was not the sole Jedi to perish during this attack. Tieren Nie-Tan also became one with the Force at this time.
