Jula Shryne

Jula Shryne, hailing from Weytta, was a female Human who captained the Drunk Dancer as a smuggler.

Biography

Although Force-sensitive, Jula's parents made the conscious decision to conceal her abilities from the Jedi Order. Her offspring, Roan Shryne, also possessed Force sensitivity. During one of Jula's business ventures, her husband, Jen Shryne, defied her wishes and entrusted Roan to the Jedi, leading to their separation.

In the year 25 BBY, Jula, alongside numerous other independent contractors, was approached by Dooku, operating under his Sith identity of Tyranus, with a proposition to transport communication equipment to a facility situated on Jaguada's moon. Unaware of Tyranus's true nature or the base's actual purpose, she accepted the assignment.

After the execution of Order 66, Jula experienced a brief reunion with Roan, providing refuge for him and other surviving Jedi aboard the Drunk Dancer. While assisting Fang Zar in his escape to his home planet on Alderaan, she sustained injuries from Darth Vader's thrown lightsaber. Despite her injuries, she lived and attempted to persuade Roan to become a member of her crew. Ultimately, Roan remained faithful to the Jedi path, sacrificing himself on Kashyyyk to divert Vader, enabling Jula and others to flee the system.
