Justina Ireland has penned numerous Star Wars stories, including the junior novels Lando's Luck from 2018 and Spark of the Resistance from 2019. She also significantly contributed to Star Wars: The High Republic alongside Cavan Scott, Claudia Gray, Charles Soule, and Daniel José Older. Ireland announced on December 30, 2024, that The Acolyte: Wayseeker and The High Republic: A Valiant Vow, both slated for release in 2025, would be her last novels set in the Star Wars universe, with her only remaining Star Wars endeavor being the graphic novel Hyperspace Stories: Mace.
