Kaarf, a human, found himself as prey in the infamous Great Hunt of Malastare. He, along with other individuals like Jorr, who were also being hunted, were saved by the bounty hunter Bossk. Unbeknownst to them, Bossk was covertly utilizing them as bait with the intention to kill Second Vice Chair Exum Jermit of the powerful InterGalactic Banking Clan. Bossk instructed them to traverse an exposed valley, but Kaarf expressed his concern that the hunters might begin shooting at them. As the group made their way across the valley floor, the hunters indeed commenced firing, resulting in Kaarf's demise.
