Lady Kalena belonged to House Indupar as a noble woman. While aboard the corvette Indupar Nova during the era of the Galactic Civil War, the ship found itself under assault in the Ec Pand system by the Rebel privateer vessel known as the Free Lance. After the privateers made their way onto the corvette, Kalena attempted to trick the pirates by trading positions with her lady-in-waiting, Missa. Despite her efforts, the privateers' Captain, Urias Xhaxin, was not fooled, and he gave the order for both Kalena and Missa to be kept as comfortable prisoners on the Free Lance.
