Kamay Lau


Kamay Lau is a model and also an actress hailing from London, which is located in the U.K. She portrayed Sei Taria, who functioned as an administrative aide for Chancellor Valorum, in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace during the year 1999.

Before her career in the acting world, Lau worked as both a fashion designer and a stylist. She earned a Fashion Design degree from Kwantlen Polytechnic University situated in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1982, and later, a Fashion Technology degree from the American Fashion Institute found in Paris, France in 1985. In 1997, Lau participated in an Improvisation Course at the Holborn Arts Center, located in London.

Lau's experience includes both acting and modeling in the realms of fashion, film, and television. Besides her part in The Phantom Menace, she has also been seen in The Fifth Element (1997), Lost In Space (1998), Revolver, a film by Guy Ritchie (2005), and in the BBC television drama A for Andromeda (2006). Later, in 2006, Lau was featured in a month-long fashion feature focusing on mature models in the newspaper The Guardian and also graced the cover of Prudential magazine. In 2009, she participated in the U.K.'s National Express Campaign, with her images displayed at bus stops across the country.
