Keenig, a senator representing the Galactic Republic, existed in the era of the Great Galactic War against the Sith Empire. Sometime between the years of 3681 BBY and 3667 BBY, Shae Vizla, a Mandalorian bounty hunter, carried out a savage assassination of Keenig. This act drew the attention of Darth Malgus, a Sith Lord, and subsequently led to them forming an alliance.
The "Shae Vizla: Bounty Hunter" Codex entry, found within Chapter XIV of Knights of the Fallen Empire, a Digital Expansion from 2015 for the 2011 BioWare video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, made reference to Keenig.
