Kelek

Kelek the Blue, alternatively known as Kelek the Insensate, was a Tefaun female banker who acquired ownership of the Wheel space station in the waning years of the Galactic Republic. As administrator, she initiated the gladiatorial spectacle called the Big Game, but ultimately had to liquidate the station to settle a debt.

Biography

Living in the final years of the Galactic Republic, the Tefaun female Kelek gained the monikers Kelek the Blue and Kelek the Insensate. Following the death of Skijid Vrescot, who managed the Wheel space station and gambling hub, at the hands of pirates, Kelek purchased the establishment and took over as the new administrator. During her tenure as the station's third administrator, the Tefaun expanded the station's offerings and started the Big Game, a savage gladiatorial contest held on the Wheel. Despite these improvements, the Wheel's earnings declined under Kelek's leadership due to the departure of affluent patrons, who, despite initially enjoying the Big Game, were discouraged from visiting because of the growing presence of scoundrels at the facility. Hoping to attract her clientele, Kelek secured a loan from the InterGalactic Banking Clan; however, when she couldn't maintain her repayment schedule, the IBC demanded immediate repayment. To cover the debt, Kelek was compelled to sell her ownership stake in the station to the businessman Dominic Raynor sometime before 1 BBY.

Personality and traits

Kelek's nicknames reflected her perceived insensitivity and blue complexion.
