Ken Hiller


Ken Hiller, who lived from October 18, 1938 to July 13, 2016, worked as a voice artist for both radio and TV. For every episode of the Star Wars radio dramas – specifically Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi – comprising 29 episodes total, he provided the narration for the opening crawl, the outro, and the end credits. Furthermore, he lent his voice as the narrator for the audio dramas titled Dark Forces: Soldier for the Empire, Dark Forces: Rebel Agent, and Dark Forces: Jedi Knight.

Hiller began his broadcasting career in Hawaii but spent the majority of his working life in St Paul, Minnesota, a significant hub for public radio within the United States. In addition to his narration work on the Star Wars audio dramas, he also hosted radio shows, created commercial recordings, and engaged in other voiceover projects.
