Kimania
Kimania, known as Mother, was a female member of the Tarasin species. She resided on the planet Cularin during the final years of the Galactic Republic and acted as the leader for the Rinajaa irstat tribe. Kimania met her death around 20 BBY when the Wyrd, a hostile group of Tarasin Force-sensitive witches, attacked the Rinajaa irstat. As a mark of respect after her passing, Kimania's dwelling in the Rinajaa settlement was burned, and her ghost briefly appeared within the inferno.
Biography
In the closing decades of the Galactic Republic, Kimania was a female Tarasin who made her home on the planet of Cularin. Around 42 BBY, Kimania rose to the position of Mother, the spiritual guide, for the Rinajaa irstat, a tribe of Tarasin people living in a village within the jungles of Cularin. She lived in a hut within the Rinajaa village and subsequently guided the irstat for a dozen years, reaching an advanced age.
Approximately around 20 BBY, the Rinajaa irstat village was ambushed during a nighttime raid by the Wyrd, a coven comprised of Tarasin witches strong in the dark side of the Force, who were antagonistic towards other Tarasin groups. Kimania witnessed the killing of several villagers by the witches, and she was subsequently murdered by a Wyrd witch who used the Force to snap Kimania's throat. The Wyrd attackers then levitated the deceased matriarch's body into the air, displaying Kimania's corpse above a group of captive Rinajaa villagers as a warning about the consequences of defying the witches.
A group of independent agents known as the heroes of Cularin, who had been tasked with fighting the Wyrd, arrived at the Rinajaa village and freed the villagers from their Wyrd captors. About two hours after the operatives' arrival, the surviving Rinajaa Tarasin placed Kimania's body inside her former hut. They then forced several captured Wyrd witches into the structure as well, intending to set the hut alight with the Wyrd sisters inside in order to honor Kimania and avenge her death. However, the heroes of Cularin convinced the villagers to spare the witches. As Kimania's hut was set ablaze, she briefly manifested as a Force ghost within the burning structure, smiling and nodding at the operatives to acknowledge their saving of the prisoners before disappearing.
Behind the scenes
Kimania appeared in Hunting the Wyrd, a 2004 roleplaying adventure written by Lee Pickler. The adventure is set within Star Wars Legends continuity and was part of RPGA's Living Force campaign. In the adventure, players take on the roles of the freelance agents who liberate the Rinajaa irstat from the Wyrd, and they have the option to prevent the Rinajaa villagers from burning the captive Wyrd witches. If the player characters intervene to save the prisoners, Kimania appears as a ghost as her hut burns, smiling and nodding at them. However, if the players allow the witches to be incinerated, Kimania's ghost appears within the blazing hut with a deeply saddened expression, shaking her head at the freelance agents to express her disappointment in their failure to save the prisoners.
