Kinera Tiree was the offspring of Fondana Tiree, who held the position of education minister for the Imperial government on the planet Lothal. She attended Phelarion School, a prestigious educational institution located in Capital City on Lothal, catering to the elite. In the course of the Transportation Ministry data breach, Merei Spanjaf assumed Kinera Tiree's identity to gain access to the Transportation Ministry's main offices with the aim of placing snoopers inside. Following the discovery of the data breach by the Imperial government, Jessa Spanjaf (Merei's mother), an Imperial investigator specializing in data security, interrogated Kinera. However, she rapidly concluded that Kinera was not responsible for the infiltration after discovering that Kinera was taking an examination on the same date as the breach.
