Kirima existed as the only planet suitable for life within the Kalinda system, located on the Enarc Run. Jak Kalinda found it, subsequently bestowing upon it the name of his mother, Kirima Kalinda. Abundant in natural wealth, the planet experienced colonization soon after its initial finding. Verena City served as the capital of Kirima. This planet acted as the base of operations for Vespula Manufacturing & Exports, an organization later decimated by bounty hunters employed by the Commerce Guild. The monarchy of the area resided in Shamd City.
Following the events of the Battle of Endor, Cor Mynus, a Human lieutenant within Imperial Intelligence, received a posting to this world.
Within canon, the planet named Kirima was first shown in The High Republic (2021) 4. Jason Fry clarified that this was a separate planet from the Legends version, despite sharing the same designation.
