A Dirconite crime lord, Kleb Zellock (a male), made his home on the mining world called Tyne's Horky. He asserted ownership over a multitude of local businesses within the planet's town of the same name, and from the well-known Doodnik's Café restaurant, he oversaw his criminal operations. Additionally, Kleb controlled the largest keschel-ore excavation site on the entire planet.
Kleb Zellock encountered a Tammuz-an by the name of Sollag Den at Doodnik's Café some years prior to the Battle of Yavin. Den sought to enlist Zellock's services to locate a missing member of the Tammuz-an royal lineage, Mon Julpa. Sollag proposed a payment of 40,000 keshels to the bounty hunter upon successfully finding Julpa before another bounty hunter, IG-88, could. Zellock agreed and dispatched his bounty hunting associate, Yorpo Mog, to begin searching the streets. Mog eventually located Mon Julpa, who was disguised as an android at a nearby auction. Following several escapades involving Julpa's newfound companions Jann Tosh, C-3PO, and R2-D2, they successfully apprehended him. Julpa and his allies were then forced to labor in Kleb's keschel mines.
During this period, Mog made a discovery that the mines contained a significant amount of a raw material known as Nergon-14. Recognizing the element's importance in the manufacturing of proton torpedoes, Kleb made the decision to illegally sell his Nergon-14 reserves to the Galactic Empire.
As Jann Tosh and the others continued their work in the mines, they came across pockets of flammable gas. They realized that if the gas was ignited by the mines' ore cutters, the resulting tremors could set off the Nergon-14, causing it to explode. They broke free from their enslavement and managed to confront Zellock in his office, where they attempted to warn him of the impending danger and convince him to halt the ore cutters before it was too late. Zellock, however, refused to trust or heed their warnings. As predicted, the cutters ignited the gas, and the resulting tremors triggered the Nergon-14, with enough present to obliterate the entire mine.
Realizing that his operations were about to end explosively, Zellock fled his office into the mine tunnels, accompanied by Mog, with the intention of escaping before the Nergon-14 detonated. The heroes split up to pursue him. Gathering as much money as he could carry and holding off C-3PO and R2-D2 who had stumbled onto them by chance at gunpoint, he decided to abandon Mog and board his custom sport skiff to make his escape alone. Thanks to a malfunctioning leg, C-3PO managed to kick Zellock's mini-stunner into Mog's grasp. Enraged by his boss's betrayal, Mog shot Zellock, rendering him unconscious. Subsequently, the droids reunited with Jann, Julpa, and Sollag, and they all escaped the mines with Mog and the unconscious Zellock just before the Nergon-14 exploded. In the process, they dumped all of Zellock's money to lighten the load on the skiff, seemingly bankrupting him. They then promptly turned Zellock into the nearest security station, seemingly putting an end to his criminal empire.

Kleb Zellock was an obese male alien characterized by his yellowish, jaundiced complexion and sharp, diminutive teeth. His clothing was typical of many spacers found throughout the galaxy.
Like many criminals, Kleb exhibited traits of greed and ruthlessness. He demonstrated a willingness to engage in virtually any financial undertaking, provided it promised substantial profits. This extended to the realm of bounty hunting. Operating between 10 BBY and 5 BBY, Kleb's loyalty was solely to himself, and he frequently betrayed his own subordinates and clients to further his own interests.
Kleb possessed the ability to produce a piercing, high-pitched shriek that inflicted considerable pain on those in close proximity.
Kenner created a Kleb Zellock action figure in 1985 as part of their Star Wars Droids toy series. While this line of action figures maintained size compatibility with other Kenner Star Wars figures, its design aesthetic distinguished it as a separate toy line. Kleb's action figure was among several from both the Droids and Ewoks series that were ultimately never released to the public.
