A colony of fierce klikniks took residence in the Temple of the Blueleaf Cluster during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Subsequent to the Battle of Yavin, Doctor Maldien engaged in unlawful and exceptionally hazardous bioengineering research within a laboratory situated on Corellia, aiming to produce highly aggressive and intelligent life forms. This endeavor encompassed genetically modified klikniks.
Klikniks were featured in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game created by Sony and distributed by LucasArts, before it ceased operation on December 15, 2011.
