Knights of the Old Republic 2

Following his discovery of the lifeless bodies of his companions and their instructors, the Padawan named Zayne Carrick makes his escape from the Jedi Temple located on Taris, with his Jedi Masters relentlessly chasing him. He hops onto his speeder, where the criminal Marn Hierogryph remains confined. Together, Zayne and Gryph successfully evade the Jedi's pursuit by crashing through a University building and descending through a waste disposal system, ultimately landing in the Lower City.

During a brief respite, Zayne elucidates to Gryph the rationale behind the Jedi's relentless pursuit. Gryph, still skeptical of Zayne's innocence in the supposed Padawan massacre, seizes Zayne's lightsaber for self-defense. However, Zayne manages to reason with Gryph, emphasizing his own ineptitude and unlikelihood of being capable of harming even a single Jedi. Convinced by Zayne's argument, Gryph returns the lightsaber, but not before obliterating a surveillance droid that he notices. Recognizing that both the Jedi and the Civil Authority are hunting them, and aware of the bounties placed on their capture, the pair seek refuge within the Taris underworld.

Concealed within a cantina, Zayne deduces that to uncover the motives behind the Jedi Masters' actions, he must promptly depart Taris and revisit his training locations to gather pertinent information.

Simultaneously, back at the Jedi Temple, the Jedi, deep in meditation, anticipate Zayne and Gryph's strategy: to venture into the Undercity.
