Koon family

The Koon lineage consisted of Force-adept Kel Dors originating from the world of Dorin. Across numerous generations, a multitude of its members achieved esteemed positions within the ranks of the Baran Do, which was acknowledged by Master Tila Mong. Furthermore, a minimum of three individuals from this lineage served as Jedi Knights: Jedi Council member Plo Koon, his paternal uncle, and Plo's niece, known as Sha.

Within the Kel Dor language, the term "Koon" had an approximate translation to "explorer" when rendered into Galactic Basic.
