The Kor Vella mesa existed on the planet of Corellia. Situated in the heart of the Vella plains, this mesa served as the foundation upon which the city of Kor Vella was constructed.
During the early years of Corellia's development, daring adventurers earned renown by successfully climbing the Kor Vella mesa. The landscape presented significant dangers, and the region surrounding the mesa was known for its abundance of dangerous predators. Corellians who successfully ascended the mesa discovered that its desolate, weather-worn environment provided a unique sense of isolation. Consequently, the Kor Vella mesa evolved into a haven for contemplation and spiritual reflection, eventually leading a small religious order to establish a monastery there. Following the discovery of substantial ore deposits nearby by local miners, the once-secluded religious site rapidly transformed into one of Corellia's most esteemed urban centers.
The Kor Vella mesa made its debut in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts. The game was discontinued on December 15, 2011. The mesa's name was found within the description of the city of Kor Vella that was displayed to players when selecting a starting location for their characters. These descriptive texts were removed after Mos Eisley became the universal starting city with the release of "Publish 17" on May 26, 2005.
