Within the bodies of krayt dragons existed an acidic fluid, greenish yellow in appearance, referred to as krayt dragon venom, or simply krayt venom. This substance aided the dragons in the initial digestion of their food. As a defense mechanism, the dragons were able to eject the venom directly from their mouth; upon contact, it would dissolve the target's organic tissues. Once dried, the venom could be ground into an orange powder and employed as a poison. However, acquiring krayt venom in this form was more challenging, and its toxicity was lower compared to other poisons, for example, rock wart venom or chall granules. On Tatooine, Bib Fortuna, who served as Jabba the Hutt's majordomo, was known to possess krayt venom powder.
