Kres'ten'tarthi, most commonly known as Stent, was a Chiss officer who followed Syndic Mitth'raw'nuruodo, who was more famously known as Grand Admiral Thrawn. Serving as both a TIE pilot and the leader of Thrawn's personal guard, the Household Phalanx, Stent was a loyal member of Thrawn's forces.
Even after Thrawn's death in 9 ABY, Stent maintained his allegiance. By 19 ABY, he held the rank of Commander of Thrawn's Household Phalanx, stationed at the Hand of Thrawn on Nirauan. This "renegade phalanx" operated independently of the Chiss military and government, yet it seemingly functioned under the command of Imperial General Baron Soontir Fel. Stent himself acknowledged the Phalanx's subordination to the Empire of the Hand on at least one occasion.
Later that year, Stent nearly perished during a pirate raid while visiting a Chiss Expansionary Defense Force military academy located on Rhigar. However, he resurfaced at Nirauan in 22 ABY.
