Kvarn Mandel

At the helm of Fabritech, Inc., a significant producer of sensors and control systems vital for starships, stood Kvarn Mandel. This aristocrat, also a dedicated family man, was a staunch supporter of the Empire.

Kvarn Mandel's typical attire included elaborate garments like flowing capes, and he kept his hair in a long ponytail. His mustache and goatee contributed to the image of a dignified and impressive man. Despite possessing the necessary ruthlessness to manage a large corporation, Mandel usually treated others with politeness.

Although his work required frequent trips to Fabritech's headquarters, Mandel made sure to dedicate time each month to his family at their home. The Mandel family mansion, situated in the subterranean city of Fabrin on Thorgeld I, served as the residence for Kvarn Mandel, his wife, and their four children.

The most profound sorrow in Mandel's life stemmed from the vanishing of his youngest daughter, Samire, when she was sixteen. After eleven years without any evidence, Mandel had resigned himself to the belief that she was deceased. This conviction created friction between Mandel and his youngest son, Simmin, who persevered in the search for his sister, even enlisting the aid of the Skine Bounty Hunter College.

Mandel resisted this continued search partly because he thought Samire was dead, and partly because he feared she might have joined a group associated with the Rebel Alliance. Kvarn Mandel felt uneasy about this prospect, as both Fabritech's prosperity and his own were heavily reliant on the Empire.
