The Kynachi were an species indigenous to the planet of Kynachi, located in Wild Space. A common characteristic of the Kynachi was their golden-colored hair. This golden hair color was, in part, caused by their typical diet on their homeworld; Kynachi who were not raised on Kynachi did not possess this defining characteristic. Jedi Master Ring-Sol Ambase, who had silver hair and was raised on Coruscant, serves as an example of this.
In 32 BBY, the Trade Federation took control of the Kynachi homeworld, using the Skakoan [Umbrag]'s forces. Later, in 22 BBY, the Galactic Republic Breakout Squad, commanded by Padawan Nuru Kungurama, freed the Kynachi from the Trade Federation's control.
