Ring-Sol Ambase

Ring-Sol Ambase, a male Kynachi individual, achieved the rank of Jedi Master within the Jedi Order. His service occurred during the concluding period of the Galactic Republic.

Biography

Early life

Ring-Sol Ambase, possessing an aptitude for the Force, was identified as a Force-sensitive baby on his planet of origin, Kynachi. Subsequently, he was brought to the Jedi Temple located on Coruscant for instruction in utilizing the Force through training. The golden hair, a characteristic distinguishing his species from Humans due to dietary factors specific to Kynachi, was absent in Ambase, as he did not mature on Kynachi. Upon joining the Order, Ambase had no contact with his family, though he made sure to study his culture while at the academy, familiarizing himself with the products of KynachTech Industries and their practices. His brother was the operator of a farm situated on Kynachi. After proving himself worthy during his Trials of Knighthood and building his personal lightsaber, Ambase attained the title of Jedi Knight. He forged a friendship with his Jedi colleague Lanchu Skaa, maintaining their bond despite frequent mission assignments that took them to various locations. On one such mission, partnered with Master Dooku, Master Ambase came across a young Chiss within a drifting escape pod. Recognizing the youth's sensitivity to the Force, the Jedi duo brought Nuru Kungurama back to Coruscant to undergo Jedi training.

The Clone Wars

With the commencement of the Clone Wars pitting the Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Master Ambase reported to Coruscant and assumed the role of General within the Grand Army of the Republic. Upon the request of the Jedi High Council, Ambase took responsibility for the training of the young Chiss Padawan Nuru Kungurama, an orphaned apprentice whose original Master, Lanchu Skaa, perished during the First Battle of Geonosis. Following the discovery of a KynachTech Industries circuit board amidst the wreckage of the Confederacy's weapon, the Malevolence, Master Ambase was summoned to the Republic Executive Building for a meeting in the Chancellor's Suite with Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Given Kynachi's neutral stance, Palpatine deemed it appropriate for Master Ambase to head an investigative team to the planet to ascertain whether they were knowingly providing the Confederacy with weapon technologies.

Master Ambase, accompanied by Breakout Squad, departed Coruscant, unaware that his Padawan had secretly boarded the ship. This was confirmed when Separatist ships, blockading Kynachi, opened fire. Forced to abandon ship in an escape pod, Master Ambase sensed Kungurama's presence as the Padawan boarded another pod directly behind his Master. The pods landed separately on the planet, and Ambase lost consciousness upon impact. Carried by the surviving clone troopers, Master Ambase was captured by the bounty hunter Cad Bane, a Duros hired by the elusive Darth Sidious. Placed into a coma, Ambase's body was encased in a coffin and taken to a secure location on the fifth moon of Bogden.

Confrontation

He eventually regained consciousness to find himself imprisoned in Dooku's castle alongside the clone trooper Sharp. They successfully escaped using a Corona-class transport during an attack orchestrated by Dooku. The pair journeyed to Bilbringi Depot, where they destroyed a ship that had fired upon them. Ambase sensed Kungurama's presence at the depot and misinterpreted his Padawan's shock at the ship's destruction as a sign of succumbing to the dark side. Sharp and Ambase concealed themselves nearby and observed Kungurama's freighter depart. Subsequently, the two returned to Coruscant, where they enlisted the aid of a pair of bounty hunters to retrieve the escape pod in which Kungurama had been discovered. He infiltrated Master Harro Kelpura's lab disguised as a Republic Admiral. Kungurama arrived during the attempt, carrying Ambase's lightsaber. The Master used the Force to reclaim his lightsaber and engaged in a brief duel with his Padawan. Kungurama managed to talk him down, and Ambase collapsed. He was taken to the Jedi Temple medical facility for recovery. Five days later, Kungurama visited him, and Ambase revealed his decision to abandon the Jedi path and expressed his intention to reside on his brother's farm on Kynachi.
