While most of the factories were constructed around 3840 BBY, the region's industrial development had commenced well before that period.
The reconstituted Sith Empire's invasion of Corellia during the Cold War brought about a complete transformation, leaving the area in a state of ruin. Republic and Sith forces clashed fiercely for control of the essential factories, with both sides resorting to destruction when unable to maintain their hold. Consequently, crucial manufacturing facilities were reduced to rubble, and immense uncontrolled fires erupted at a significant fuel processing center. These occurrences transformed what was once an industrial utopia into a catastrophic conflagration, forcing the citizens of Corellia to helplessly observe the systematic annihilation of their collective achievements.
