Lauhu functioned as a CR90 corvette and was a member of the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War.
On one occasion, it provided support to the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate named Anvil, which at the time was transporting those who had survived the destruction of the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser called Maximus. During this mission, Anvil endured a pair of assaults from the Imperial escort frigate Firelance, which deployed numerous squadrons of TIEs. While Lauhu managed to avoid significant damage, the Anvil suffered irreparable harm and was eventually left behind.
