The Lehon system, previously known as both the Rakata system and the Star Forge system, was the star system situated within the Unknown Regions that housed the planet of Lehon alongside the Star Forge. Revan located it again in 3959 BBY during his search for the Star Forge. For thousands of years, the system's whereabouts remained a mystery, only able to be found through the use of the ancient Star Maps.
Abo, the star at the heart of the system, provided energy to the Star Forge, which had been constructed by the Rakata and positioned in close proximity to the sun. Later on, the system was incorporated into the Galactic Republic. In the aftermath of the Battle of Rakata Prime, the debris from the Star Forge and the ships destroyed in the battle rendered navigation through the system challenging. After the Jedi Civil War, the Republic designated the entire Lehon system as a protected historical zone, prohibiting entry without authorization. This restriction remained in place until the Republic Dark Age, when the weakening government was no longer able to safeguard the area.
