Meldina, a rocky planet of volcanic origin, orbited Abo as the second planet in its orbital path and possessed no moons. This celestial body resided in the Lehon system, which itself was situated within the Tempered Wastes region of the Unknown Regions'.
The first mention of Meldina occurred in The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009 written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace. This book situated the Lehon system, and consequently Meldina, within grid square G-11.
