Lemo was a Human male character, distinguished by a bushy beard and lengthy, reddish-brown hair. He typically secured his hair back using a white headband.
On Arcan IV, Lemo functioned as the ringleader of a group of thugs, operating alongside his partner Sanda. They apparently had previous conflicts with Han Solo and were pleased by his capture. While celebrating this event, Lando Calrissian, who was disguised as Barpotomous Drebble, and Chewbacca approached Lemo and his team with a proposition.
Despite his initial skepticism, Lemo acted as a gracious host, offering Calrissian Deltron spice wine until the guest revealed his loyalty to Solo in a drunken state. Following a high-speed pursuit via airspeeder, Lemo's gang had the two rebels trapped, but then it was discovered that Calrissian possessed a valuable statue that the gang had been seeking for a long time. Dafi, who was a member of Lemo's group, was driven mad by this discovery and murdered Lemo's allies in an attempt to keep the statue for herself. However, Lemo and Sanda managed to escape with their lives. They reclaimed the statue and hid it in their secret base on Arcan IV.
Shortly after their encounter with Calrissian, Lemo and Sanda were apprehended by a bounty hunter within the Keyorin system and subsequently imprisoned on a prison asteroid located in the same sector. Following the Battle of Endor, Solo and Luke Skywalker journeyed to the asteroid and interrogated the prisoners about the location of the Dancing Goddess statue. In return for the statue's whereabouts, the Rebels offered to use their influence to secure the release of Lemo and his partner, along with a sum of twenty thousand credits. The Rebels successfully retrieved the statue and presumably honored their agreement.
