Lessah, a Nautolan of the female persuasion, was employed by the Galactic Republic as a representative on the planet of Taris. Her service occurred during the Cold War, a period of conflict with the reconstituted Sith Empire. When the Arcona named Senaru journeyed to Taris with the intention of studying the wildlife and its adaptation following the bombardment, Lessah acted as his point of contact. Senaru's motivation was the potential application of his findings to the restoration of his own world's damaged environment; however, Lessah's assistance was purely self-serving, aimed at improving her personal status. The Republic-aligned person assisting Senaru gave Lessah the Arcona's scanner, and subsequently scolded her for her egotistical behavior.
The character Lessah was introduced in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. This game was developed by BioWare and launched on December 20, 2011. Lessah is featured in the quest titled "Disease on a Distant World" found on Taris.
