LG3-18 was a landing guidance droid with masculine programming; it was positioned on the moon of Nar Shaddaa in the year 5 ABY. Its programming was specifically for guiding arriving starships toward designated public landing platforms. In 5 ABY, the droid's sensors detected the presence of the HWK-290 light freighter known as the Moldy Crow. Subsequently, the droid made contact with the pilot, Jan Ors, identified itself, and gave Ors instructions to land at Launch Deck Three. Ors consented to follow the droid's directions.
The character LG3-18 made its debut in the 1998 Dark Forces: Rebel Agent audio drama, which was adapted from William C. Dietz's novella of the same name. In the novella, the Crow was guided by an unnamed remote-controlled landing drone with strobing lights to the public landing platforms.
The voice actor who performed the droid's voice was not credited.
Because LG3-18's name was only heard in the audio drama, the spelling of the droid's name in this article is based on speculation.
