Light squadron

A light squadron represented a naval formation within the Imperial Navy, led by an admiral. Typically, a light squadron's composition followed one of two distinct patterns. The first such pattern involved the assembly of two attack lines, one skirmish line, and one recon line, resulting in a squadron strength of approximately twenty to thirty vessels. Alternatively, the second pattern included two recon lines, a skirmish line, and a pursuit line, creating a larger squadron of roughly twenty-five to thirty-five ships.
