Lightning consisted of two Lambda-class T-4a shuttles of the Rebel alliance. These shuttles, in conjunction with shuttle teams Typhoon and Thunder, participated in the initial stage of Operation Grain Snatch. Their mission involved seizing the Y-wing fighters protecting Overlord Ghorin's CR90 corvette, the [Halifax], which was transporting grain intended for the Empire. Keyan Farlander incapacitated all of the Y-wings, and the shuttles then took control of these fighters. The captured Y-wings were later utilized to tarnish Ghorin's reputation.
