Liora was a High Priestess of the Human species, a female who resided on the planet of Telos IV during the time the Galactic Republic held sway.
During the period leading up to the Telosian Civil War, Liora served as a High Priestess, advocating for peace on the planet Telos IV. In the year 53 BBY, this priestess met her end through murder, an event that caused mourning across the divided factions of the planet. This act of violence garnered the attention of the Jedi High Council situated on Coruscant, who were concerned it might have been a politically motivated assassination. Fearing that the murder would destroy the fragile peace on Telos, the Council dispatched Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn and Tahl, along with their respective Padawans Xanatos and Orykan Tamarik, to the Telos system.
Scott Allie, the writer of Star Wars: Jedi—The Dark Side, was the creator of Liora. Her initial mention occurred within a single panel of the comic's debut issue. In the second issue, Liora appeared briefly in a Force vision experienced by Orykan Tamarik.
