During the era of the Cold War that existed between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, a civil war erupted on the planet of Livien. Due to the Republic's support of rebel factions against the Imperial-supported royal family, the world was plunged into turmoil.
Behind the scenes
The civil war on Livien is referenced within the Star Wars: The Old Republic video game in two distinct Crew Skill missions, dependent on the player's faction. Players aligned with the Republic can assign companions to the Underworld Trading mission titled "Overthrowing the Tyrants," which details the rebels' successful removal of the royal family. Conversely, Imperial players can have their companions undertake the Underworld Trading mission "Quashing the Rebels," which states that the royal family successfully suppressed the rebel uprising.
