Llokay

Before the Seventh Battle of Ruusan, a male Zabrak named Llokay ascended to the rank of Dark Lord of the Sith after serving as a Sith apprentice. He underwent training at the Sith academy situated on Korriban. Alongside his sister, Yevra, Llokay displayed unwavering allegiance to Sirak, a fellow Zabrak and the most powerful student. In 1000 BBY, Llokay, along with all other Sith apprentices at the academy, received promotions due to the Brotherhood of Darkness' urgent need for Sith Lords to bolster their forces in the ongoing war against the Galactic Republic and the Jedi. Shortly after his promotion, Llokay, Yevra, and Sirak devised a scheme to assassinate Bane, a rival Sith who had previously defeated, humiliated, and injured Sirak. However, their plan was foiled by Githany, a co-conspirator who betrayed them by siding with Bane in the ensuing confrontation. Githany's lightwhip proved fatal to both Llokay and Yevra, while Bane swiftly dispatched Sirak soon after.

Biography

At some point in time, the Brotherhood of Darkness identified Llokay, a Zabrak, and his sister Yevra, recognizing their potential as individuals sensitive to the Force. Their abilities were deemed sufficient for training at the Sith Academy located on Korriban, the ancient world of the Sith, a place reserved for those with the capacity to become Sith Masters. It was there that they encountered Sirak, a fellow Zabrak and the academy's most formidable apprentice. The siblings pledged their unwavering loyalty to Sirak and remained in training until 1000 BBY. During that year, Bane, another apprentice, challenged Sirak to a duel during a combat training session overseen by Lord Kas'im, a Sith Master. Upon hearing Bane's challenge, Llokay and Yevra eagerly pushed their way to the front of the assembled students surrounding the dueling ring, displaying obvious enthusiasm for the impending fight. Wielding a double-bladed Sith training saber, Sirak quickly and decisively defeated and injured Bane.

Later, after honing his skills in the Force alongside fellow Sith Githany, undergoing combat training with Lord Kas'im, and dedicating numerous hours to studying ancient texts in the Sith academy's library, Bane issued a second challenge to Sirak. Before the duel began, Sirak entrusted his cloak to Llokay, who held it throughout the duration of the battle. This time, Bane emerged victorious, disfiguring Sirak but hesitating to deliver the killing blow. While Sirak recuperated in a bacta tank, Githany approached him and proposed a plan to eliminate Bane. At the time, Bane was visiting the Valley of the Dark Lords to explore the ancient Sith tombs located there, and the two agreed to ambush Bane upon his return. In the interim, Lord Kaan, one of the Sith Masters overseeing the war effort against the Galactic Republic and the Jedi, ordered all students on Korriban to deploy to the front lines on Ruusan and promoted them to the rank of Dark Lord of the Sith. Llokay, now a Sith Lord, received a lightsaber.

Bane eventually returned from his expedition to the Valley of the Dark Lords before the Sith students were scheduled to depart for Ruusan, and the trap was set. Llokay, along with Sirak and Yevra, awaited Bane's return in the library. Githany lured Bane, who had left his lightsaber in his personal quarters, into the archives where the Zabraks lay in wait. Llokay, Yevra, and Sirak prepared to attack Bane, only to discover Githany's betrayal as she provided Bane with her lightsaber. Githany herself wielded a lightwhip, which she swiftly used to kill Yevra. Overwhelmed by grief and rage at his sister's death, Llokay launched a ferocious assault on Bane, forcing him back several steps while Githany lashed out with her lightwhip, targeting Llokay's eyes and face. For a time, Llokay managed to continue his attack on Bane while deflecting Githany's lightwhip strikes, but he lost an eye after misjudging the erratic trajectory of Githany's weapon. Screaming in agony, Llokay was struck again in the throat, searing his vocal cords and causing him to die in agonizing silence. Sirak met his end shortly after, decapitated by Bane's blade after pleading for mercy.

Personality and traits

Llokay and his sister Yevra were completely devoted to Sirak, who was widely regarded as the most powerful of the Korriban apprentices, and they attended to his personal belongings during his fights. Witnessing his sister's death at the hands of Githany filled Llokay with overwhelming grief and rage, which he channeled into a fierce attack on Bane before succumbing to a strike from Githany's lightwhip. Both Llokay and his sister possessed red skin.

Behind the scenes

Llokay and his sister Yevra debuted in Drew Karpyshyn's 2006 novel Darth Bane: Path of Destruction. This remains his sole appearance in Star Wars canon, although in 2008 Llokay received an entry in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
